The Houses of Parliament debated this via the Peitions committee thanks to Nicola Thorp and her brave stance on unfair dress codes in workplaces. The Minister for State said "we are putting our collective foot down."
The debate was significant and in clinical work we are seeing the benefits for clients which is where it all started when I worked at West Middlesex NHS hospital and having to treat cabin crew within the confines of a draconian industry shoe policy.
